Fearing God is Killing Christ

* "I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved -- the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced! (John Adams, letter to Thomas Jefferson, from George Seldes, The Great Quotations, also from James A Haught, ed., 2000 Years of Disbelief) *
* "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment . He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (The Holy Bible, 1 John 4:18)
*
*
* "Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by difference of sentiments in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought most to be deprecated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy, which has marked the present age, would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination so far that we should never again see the religious disputes carried to such a pitch as to endanger the peace of society." (George Washington, letter to Edward Newenham, October 20, 1792; from George Seldes, ed., The Great Quotations, Secaucus, New Jersey: Citadel Press, 1983, p. 726.)
*
"The structural foundation of bloodstained religion flinches at the steadiness of Loves gaze. Hatred and evil permeated its auric field. Scribbled are names, dates and signatures of stubbornness.
*
"I'm curious," Love ventures,"you the maker of Gods with your face of stone and lines hardened by discontent. Surely you are not ignorant to your greed and ruthless prey sucking the life of the youth. Carnivorous cannibals continually conniving convincing cowards to compile convicts. Masters of cunning deceit beguiling believers baiting them as a fish hook. Wretchedness has washed on you, tears of anguish you have bathed in. It is your own sins you wished to have balanced. One cannot mirror in anothers soul the plight of their own grievance."
*
Love breathes for a moment willing as a channel to contact the structural foundation of bloodstained religion, willing to transmute dull sunken eyes painfully attached to limbs that ache beyond the sense of there own instinctive survival.
*
Love knows that every marred piece of history every division of humanity every caste system and place of submission has the ability to open its heart and allow the onslaught of goodness to flicker brazenly. The ability to accept each other as human beings. Human beings born into a world of endless pain. Human beings born into a world of endless hunger. Individuals facing a mirror that the Papal Crown or the snapped neck on a hangman's noose will not tarnish. Eyes in that mirror that peer back questioningly haunting ones own instinctive survival. Eyes in that mirror attached to a body that ticks steadily toward the open arms of death. Nature is neither partial to the begat or the begotten. The become or the become of. All share the same oxygen all inhale the excess of anothers breath. Love breathes again for a moment a twinkle in her eyes a knowingness that all must die. A willingness to surrender and let the goodness of its own essence trample ties that bind all in slavery." (Richard Schultz, An Angel Came, Outback Insides Publishing 1993, p. 159-162.)
*
Ladies and Gentlemen: make no pretence - when 9/11 struck it was nothing short of treasonous to follow in the footsteps of Christ.
*
" We know that religious beliefs cannot define patriotism." (Walter Cronkite, former CBS News anchor, in a speech to People for the American Way,as reported in Newsweek, December 5, 1988, p. 8, according to Alan F. Pater and Jason R. Pater, compilers and editors, What They Said in 1988: The Yearbook of Spoken Opinion, Beverly Hills, CA: Monitor Book Co., 1989, p. 218.)
*
*"And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people. And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:" (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 2:33)
*
* ** * Therefore, we stirred among them enmity and hatred, which shall endure till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will declare to them all that they have done. - (The Holy Quran, 5:14)
*
* * * O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people. (The Holy Quran, 5:54)
*
** * It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land. (The Holy Quran, 8:67)
* *
* The Gods of war pit themselves against each other and human are the instrument of their pittance and war is like fire that burns. Hatred is the heat the fire combusts fueling actions to consume both pitted against themselves and both pitted by the same God. As fire is fire that burns and burns only. War is God as Biblical God is War. Onward Christian Soldiers serve The Gods of War fighting among their foe who serve The God of War both perceiving themselves and their actions - Holy - firm upon a ground moral and righteous and their foe as despicable and heinous the same hold aloft. This union of opposite that feed the God of War. Fight the noble fight die the savage death. For both sides are right and both sides are wrong but reality is in between the realities are the actions of War. As fire pursues fuel to flame fodder that is fleeting so war wanes willingly when the wanton is weary.
*
Gods of War create trickery of religion for the soul of human serves the invisible and the invisible feasts upon the soul of the human. Gods of War are neither partial to the zealot of Christ or partial to the sword of Allah. Gods of War serves religion onto platters and then pursues the friction and frustration with zeal to ignite the hatred which are Gods of War. Both serve themselves and both fight each other and both bow down to the same, which is different only in the eyes one to the other. Gods of War are served War is essence of War.
*
*
Peace is essence of Peace. Gods of Peace opulent Peace. Gods of Peace pursued and when pursued are handed on platitudes of plenty. Gods of Peace recognizes the peace in a Muslim and the peace of a Christian the same peace. The same God and the knees that are fallen upon in the worship of peace care not what religion holds fast for peace is peace in the heart of one where peace pursues as war waxes wantonly where witches the brew of hate brews.
*
The Gods of War:
*
The War of the Muslim the War of the Christian ..Neither does differ between the belief of the soldier upon the battlefield for only bloodlusts are the spoils that war opulent and fighting in nobility that the world is round against nobility that the world is flat - is the prize of the Gods of War to incite the hatred that simmers and steals the sons of the noble to die for blood which cares neither that the world is round - nor neither that it is flat - but cares only for fuel to hate and prey upon those who would argue such.
*
Those that would war - war against those that would war yet also those that would war - war against those where peace prevails. The hate of their prayer that they in tongues do not understand the one to the other are swords only they thrust unto the same God. For if a believer live aside a non-believer - one believe the world is round and one to believe the world is flat - and Peace is the God unto they pray in their heart of hearts neither will they war one unto the other. Yet if a believer live aside a non-believer - one to believe the world is round and one to believe the world is flat - and War is the God unto they pray within their heart of hearts only they will war one unto the other...
